The 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength is absorbed by oxyhemoglobin — the pigment in your blood vessels. This allows it to target blood vessels precisely without affecting the surrounding skin.
The laser energy heats the blood vessel walls, causing them to collapse and be reabsorbed by the body. The vessel disappears — and so does the redness it was causing.
Redness and flushing visibly reduce over 2–4 weeks as treated vessels are absorbed. Most clients need 3–5 sessions for optimal results, with maintenance as needed.

How many sessions will I need?
Most rosacea clients see significant improvement in 3–5 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. The number depends on the severity of your rosacea, the density of visible blood vessels, and how your skin responds to treatment. Your provider will assess this during your consultation.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes — the Clarity II is one of the safest laser systems for rosacea-prone and sensitive skin. The 1064nm wavelength bypasses the surface of the skin and targets the blood vessels directly, minimizing surface trauma. The built-in cryogenic cooling system also protects the skin throughout treatment.
Will my rosacea come back after treatment?
Rosacea is a chronic condition, so while laser treatment significantly reduces visible redness and blood vessels, new ones can form over time — especially with continued exposure to triggers. Most clients maintain their results with periodic maintenance sessions every 6–12 months.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe a mild warmth or snapping sensation during treatment. The Clarity II's cryogenic cooling system makes it very tolerable even for sensitive skin. Sessions typically take 20–30 minutes depending on the treatment area.
What's the downtime?
Minimal. You may experience some redness or mild flushing for a few hours after treatment — ironically similar to a rosacea flare. This resolves quickly and most clients return to normal activities the same day. Avoid heat, sun exposure, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
